The collector is something which collects and is mainly used in buildings' installation as a divider. NanoPOT collectors can be used for the cooling and warming of a closed water circuit or the consuming water as well as for high-pressure gas transmissions. Additionally, large-scaled nanoPOT collectors can be used in the powerhouse and corrosive environments like marine and oil and gas environments.
Collectors are usually made of black steel, galvanized steel or brass for applications of closed-circuit cooling and heating water flow or consuming water, and sometimes for gas flow. Obviously, the flow of water into black steel will cause corrosion and short service time, and the brass collectors that usually need plating are more expensive and heavier in terms of weight. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, which usually contains tin and arsenic. Arsenic is a very toxic element, especially when it reaches into drinking water. Also, the chromium-plated coating on these components has many environmental problems. As highlighted above, the high prices of brass along with its high weight are also the major problems of the products made with this alloy.
The production of water divider collectors and bushing of polymeric connections which has been currently using brass alloys has major defects of the low abrasion resistance, high density, and low strength to weight ratio that can be cured by choosing the right aluminum alloy and making oxide nanostructured coatings on the surface of this metal.
Benefits of NanoPOT collector, bushing, nipple, and converters rather than brass products
Hardness: The hardness of nanoPOT collectors is about 800 to 1,000 Vickers, equivalent to 65 to 70 Rockwell C, while the hardness of brass does not exceed 200 Vickers in the best condition.
Resistance to abrasion: Coating of nanoPOT collectors has high-adhesivity and high hardness which strongly strengthen the surface of components against abrasion. Also, since the nature of the coating is ceramic, it exhibits a lower coefficient of friction than metal couplings in the abrasion couplings with the metal opposite side, which itself leads to a further increase in abrasion resistance.
Resistance to corrosion: Aluminum is inherently corrosion-resistant metal. With alumina coating, its corrosion resistance is among the best in engineering alloys. Compared to brass, in addition to the fact that types of corrosion, such as selective corrosion are not distressing for aluminum, the uniform corrosion resistance of these collectors is far higher thanks to the thick oxide coating of nanoPOT collectors.
As demonstrated in the result of the Tafel polarization test for brass, plain aluminum and nanoPOT aluminum collections carried out by the Razi Metallurgical Laboratory, the corrosion flow for the nanoPOT collectors has the lowest value, which indicates a higher corrosion resistance of the nanoPOT collectors than brass and aluminum collectors. It is worth noting that the differences are significant in this regard, as the resistance of the nanoPOT collectors has been approximately 10 times greater than the brass collectors and more than 100 times the aluminum collectors.
Chemical neutrality: Brass is a copper alloy. The copper resistant to corrosion in the pure state, not as an alloy. It is also readily corroded in acidic environments. In contrast, nanoPOT collectors have a much higher resistance to chemical substances and much less willingness of reactivity, because the surface layers of aluminum are bound to oxygen and the metal is not in the active state.
Biocompatibility: Nanostructured oxide coatings of nanoPOT collectors are considered to be very safe for biocompatibility. Also, these types of coatings can be recycled without the slightest danger to the environment.
Facilitation in cleaning, resistance to salt sedimentation and corrosion products: Because oxide coatings of nanoPOT collectors are chemically neutral and resistant to corrosion, there is low tendency to react to the formation of sediment and corrosion products. As well, substances in the salt form in water require an active surface to make a deposit, which does not provide them with coatings created on nanoPOT collectors.

The heat sink is an electric insulator and thermal conductor; therefore, it can be used jointly for chips used in a base attached to the heat dissipation part. In this case, there has been a strongly decreased possibility of electric shock, connection to other components, connection to the board, ignition and fire, and so on. This heat sink has also noticeably increased radiation coefficient causing increased heat transfer.
The surface of the heat sink is hard and highly resistant to corrosion, although it's not an important advantage for cool air radiators, but is a key priority for cool water (other fluids) radiators.
